Learning, Development and Connection for Professional Coaches

Events & Education

Professional coaching is a discipline that continues to evolve. Continuous learning, reflection, and professional exchange are essential for maintaining high coaching standards and supporting the development of the coaching profession.

Equally important is the role of community. Professional coaches grow not only through formal education, but also through meaningful dialogue with peers, shared reflection on practice, and participation in a professional community.

Through events, coach education, and professional development opportunities, International Coaching Federation and ICF Netherlands support coaches in strengthening their skills, expanding their knowledge, and connecting with fellow professionals.

On this page you can explore learning opportunities available to coaches in the Netherlands and through the ICF.

Events & Local Meetups

ICF Netherlands regularly organizes professional events where coaches can learn, connect, and exchange experiences.

These gatherings strengthen the professional coaching community in the Netherlands and create opportunities for shared learning and meaningful dialogue.

Events may include:

• professional development workshops
• community meetups
• panel discussions and knowledge sessions
• supervision and intervision sessions
• networking events within the Dutch coaching community

Some events are exclusively for members, while others are open to non-members who want to explore professional coaching.

Coach Training & Courses in the Netherlands

Becoming a professional coach starts with high-quality education aligned with international coaching standards.

Only coaching education that has been accredited by ICF directly leads to the credential pathway. These programs are designed to meet the ICF Core Competencies and ethical standards required for professional coaching.

Coaches who have completed other forms of coaching education may still pursue an ICF credential through alternative application pathways. In these cases, ICF Global evaluates whether the education and training meet the required standards.

On the training page you will find:

• a selection of ICF-accredited coach training programs in the Netherlands
• information about credential pathways
• guidance on choosing the right coaching education program

Continuing Coach Education (CCE)

Professional coaches continue developing throughout their careers.

Continuing Coach Education (CCE) helps coaches deepen their expertise, expand their professional perspective, and maintain alignment with evolving coaching standards.

CCE opportunities include:

• advanced coach training programs
• professional development workshops
• ethics training
• specialized coaching methodologies

Many of these learning opportunities take place within the professional coaching community, where coaches learn from each other’s experiences and perspectives.
