Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I know if my coaching education qualifies for ICF CCE credits or an ICF credential?
- Your education must either be ICF-accredited (Level 1, 2 or 3) or meet ICF Portfolio requirements.
- For CCE renewal, activities must align with the ICF Core Competencies and include ethics where required.
- You can verify accredited programmes via the official ICF Education Search Portal.
2. Does ICF Netherlands provide coaching contracts, legal templates or tax advice?
- ICF Netherlands does not provide legal or tax advisory services.
- For contracts, legal matters or tax guidance, please consult a qualified legal or financial professional.
- Professional coaching includes professional responsibility.
3. How can my coaching training become ICF-accredited?
- Accreditation is managed globally by ICF Coaching Education.
- Training providers can apply for:
- Level 1 (ACC pathway)
- Level 2 (PCC pathway)
- Level 3 (MCC pathway)
- The process evaluates alignment with ICF competencies, ethics and assessment standards.
4. What if my coaching education is not ICF-accredited, can I still apply for an ICF credential?
- You may apply via the Portfolio path.
- You must document required education hours, demonstrate alignment with ICF Core Competencies, and (for PCC/MCC) submit coaching recordings for assessment.
- All non-accredited education is reviewed during the application process.
5. Can I use the ICF logo on my website or marketing materials?
- You may use official ICF credential logos only if you hold an active ICF credential and are in good standing.
- The logo represents you as an individual credential-holder, not your organisation, and must follow ICF brand guidelines.
- Credibility must always be verifiable.
6. Can I use the logo of the Professional Coaching Code (Beroepscode Professionele Coaching) on my website?
- The Professional Coaching Code (Beroepscode Professionele Coaching) is a joint Dutch initiative to promote minimum professional standards in coaching.
- It is not a separate legal entity. Therefore, the logo cannot be provided for individual use.
- You are welcome to refer to the initiative and direct people to:
